The Magic of Handwriting

"Paper absorbs our emotions. Those of the writer and those of the recipient.”

“Handwriting has always meant something special to me. Lots of my best memories are inextricably linked to it – for example, the shared diaries that I exchanged with my friends every day when I was at school. And even today I treasure handwritten notes and keep all my personal letters and cards in boxes. Paper absorbs our emotions.

Those of the writer and those of the recipient. When a letter left on a desk gets coffee cup marks on it and the cellulose absorbs the tears you have cried – then even years later when you rediscover that letter, you remember the emotions that you felt at that moment.”
