FAQ
“Digital writing” refers to capturing handwriting, sketches or notes directly in digital form. The natural movement of the hand is converted into digital data using a special digital pen.
The aim is to combine the cognitive benefits of handwriting with the advantages of digital archiving and editing.
There are essentially two ways to digitise your handwriting:
Directly on the screen: You use a tablet pen on an iPad, Android tablet or another digital writing pad.
Writing on paper with synchronisation: With a Smart Writing Set, you write on special paper using a smart pen. A built-in camera in the pen captures your notes and transmits them via Bluetooth to your smartphone or tablet using an app.
A classic example is the use of a smart planner. When you enter an appointment by hand in this analogue smart calendar, it is immediately digitised by the smart pen and automatically synchronised with your digital calendar (e.g. Google or Outlook).
Another example is creating illustrations with a drawing pen on a tablet, whereby the pressure and tilt of the pen are transferred one-to-one into a graphics programme.
