6. Bevelled calligraphy nibs (OM, OB, OBB): For the art of beautiful writing in line widths of 1.1 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.9 mm.

One of the greatest advantages of the LAMY brand is its user-friendliness and well-thought-out functionality. If you have bought a new nib for your LAMY fountain pen, you don’t need to be an expert to fit it.

To change the LAMY fountain pen nib, all you need is a small coin (or simply use the cap of your fountain pen).

1. Carefully press the coin or the edge of the cap with one hand right at the front of the nib and position it on a table.
   
   

2. Then pull the fountain pen backwards with gentle, straight pressure so that the old nib remains on the table.
   
   

3. Simply slide the new LAMY nib grade into the guide rails until it clicks into place.
   
   

4. Your fountain pen is now ready to use again: with a completely new writing experience.

Our range includes a variety of materials that significantly influence writing performance. The classic nib for LAMY fountain pens is made from high-quality stainless steel. The Z52 nib is also PVD-coated. We also offer black stainless steel nibs in our range (such as the Z 50 model).

These nibs are robust, retain their shape for a long time and produce a clear, defined line on the paper.

For those who appreciate a touch of luxury, we also offer gold nibs. These are further enhanced with an additional finish (the LAMY Z 55 nib is partially rhodium-plated and the Z 58 nib is partially palladium-plated).

A 14-carat gold nib (in gold or rose gold) adapts even better to the user’s individual writing pressure thanks to its softness. The result is an incomparably smooth glide that relieves strain on the wrist. Furthermore, gold is more corrosion-resistant than steel, making the nib even more durable.
