Sense and sensibility: the new LAMY swift rubinblack

The Lamy swift is a high-quality ink rollerball pen which has everything that appeals to reason.

It writes fluidly and precisely with ball and ink, but – thanks to a Lamy world patent – does not need a cap. As the refill tip is advanced by a push mechanism, the clip slides back into the strikingly perforated body. And when the pushbutton is pressed again after writing, the refill retracts and the clip lifts out again ready to function.

But because reason is ideally coupled with emotion, Lamy now presents its prize-winning pen in a special colour variant, the LAMY swift rubinblack, which appeals to all the senses.

The special edition is in matt-shimmering metallic brown, with a depth and strength of expression achieved by an elaborate lacquering process in which several layers of coloured, pearl-effect and matt lacquers are applied to the body and repeatedly polished. To provide an interesting contrast, the pen tip, clip and pushbutton are made of high-gloss chrome.

The result is a very harmonious, elegant ink rollerball pen which will delight not only technical enthusiasts. It will also particularly impress all those who like to demonstrate their individuality and their passion for beautiful things in various ways, including the writing instruments they use.

The new LAMY swift rubinblack will go on sale at specialist retailers and in the specialist departments of selected department stores in September 2009.
