Lamy is lining up for 2014

Following a successful 2013, Lamy's future is looking brighter than ever: Lamy is further expanding its pioneering role in the writing instruments market - and not just as a market leader in Germany, but also as a German design brand whose products hold a special position around the world.

Particularly the longstanding ties to the specialist retail trade play a decisive role in this respect. As a family-run business, the competent advice and personal dialog with the customer that only specialist retailers can provide is paramount to Lamy. And in 2014, the Heidelberg-based company will continue to pursue this traditional sales channel via the specialist retailer. In addition to this, Lamy will also expand collaborations with specialist Internet retailers, which Lamy selects on the same merit as it selects their traditional specialist retailers. With alternating campaigns and its modern marketing concept, Lamy constantly creates new incentives and supports its retailers - stationary or digital - with their sales measures all year round.

Strong international growth
Lamy also reports substantial success at a global level, with a growth rate in the double-digit range in 2013. Sales in Asia have more than doubled in just three years. Workshops held in Shanghai, Beijing and Malaysia have contributed in conveying Lamy's values and in increasing its brand and quality awareness. Lamy is expanding its position as an ambassador of quality "Made in Germany" in its 13 regions of focus.

Lamy even received an award to this end in 2013: the "Markenpreis der Deutschen Standards" [German Industrial Standard Brand Award], chosen by a top-notch jury in the compendium "Brands of the century – Lighthouses in the sea of brands". With this award, Lamy is one of the 250 German brands that "emblematically reflects its entire class", also acting as a representative of German quality and design around the world.
