The design of the LAMY studio Pt comes from the hand of Hannes Wettstein, one of the most innovative and influential designers of recent decades, who created the LAMY studio series for the Heidelberg family firm of C. Josef Lamy GmbH in 2005. Wettstein is referred to as the ‘Master of Simplicity’, as a genius when it comes to combining functionality and aesthetic appeal. Perfect, therefore, for achieving success together with the LAMY brand, which takes this Bauhaus principle into the present day with each new writing instrument it introduces to the market. Wettstein immortalised his passion for Bauhaus design when he created the distinctive ‘propeller clip’ on the LAMY studio. This elegantly twisted clip marked Lamy’s break with old stylistic form. The clip continues today to define the uniqueness and unmistakable quality of the LAMY studio series and is therefore an essential feature of the LAMY studio Pt, too.
The LAMY studio Pt can be purchased at specialist retailers and in selected department stores. All models of the LAMY studio Pt have the characteristic platinum-finished metal clip. The fountain pen has a partially platinised 14-carat bicoloured gold nib, which creates a discreet but also powerful contrast to the overall platinum surface.
